[La Crosse] Adolescent Center-Shelter & Secure Unit Workers

Date Posted:

Thursday, January 12, 2017

Deadline:

Open until filled

Position Objectives

La Crosse County Western Regional Adolescent Services is accepting applications to fill current and future openings in our Shelter and Secure units to provide support, supervision and activity monitoring of children who reside in the facilities. Work is performed under relatively strict guidelines as specified in State Statute. Both units are 24-hr operations, so employees will work on all three shifts as well as weekends and holidays.

Adolescent Shelter Unit Worker starting pay is $11.39
*Adolescent Secure Unit Worker starting pay is $18.36
*The secure unit is governed by stricter State regulations, including required certification for employees, and the level of security and risk are greater in that unit.

When openings occur in either unit, including shift and/or hours changes, they are first offered to existing staff in both units before being filled through an applicant pool. The majority of our Secure unit workers are hired from our Shelter unit, so although you may be more interested in working in Secure, the best route there is to start in Shelter. We are especially interested in applicants with maximum flexibility to accept any shift and varied hours.

We will be accepting applications until a sufficient pool of applicants exists and this listing may close without notice, so please apply soon!
